Deviantart is getting wierd, things are changing, and on top of that i keep having all these great ideas for art, but every time i finish the drawing i end up hating it and throwing it away.Todays thanksgiving and i didnt realize it till 12:00, isnt that sad. This journal is sooo random but im just fifling up for lost time.... oh, and i got new art supplies. I got 7 different micro pens in black 01 and black 005, then the rest were 005 in red purple blue green and some wierd brown color, and i got skin colored pencils.

How did it come to this , how did I know it was you
It was a bad dream, asphyxiated watch me bleed
The life support was cut , the knot was too tight,
They push and pull but they know they'll never win.

TAG!!!
love you to death. If I don't get this back, I understand. But I have a game for you. Once you read this letter, you must send it to 15 people that you really care about, including the person that sent it to you. If you receive at least 7 back, then you are loved. Nobody knows what they have until they loose it. You never leave the person whom you love for the one you like, because that person who you like will leave you for the person whom they love. Tonight, right at 12:00am, your true love is going to realize that they LOVE you! Then something is going to happen to you between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. Tomorrow, be ready for the greatest shock of your life. If you break this chain, you are going to have bad luck in love for the next years of your life. Send this to 15 people in 15 minutes. Do it if you wanna know who your real love is YOU CANNOT RETURN THIS AS OF NOW

Your problem is your drawing the outside details first. If you aren't drawing something from observation, you need to start with basic construction. Drawing the details first, makes your drawings lack proportion, makes them lopsided and makes them stiff. Start with a stick figure to get the pose right. Over the stick figure, draw basic shapes like circles and cylinders to get the form right. Draw very lightly in these two stages, as you have do a lot of erasing to fix mistakes and get it right. Then when you've got the form just right, draw the details over it. Look through books on anatomy to help get proportions right and some art books can help you with things like perspective.
